Who is LaTanya Michelle?

LaTanya Michelle captivates audiences with a poignant and dynamic presentation style that both inspires and connects. Her message is rooted in resilience, authenticity, and purpose, delivered with warmth and energy that leaves a lasting impression.

Faced with adversities that would make most people give up, LaTanya chose a different path. She turned her pain into purpose and now empowers others to do the same, teaching what it truly means to live life as an exclamation mark!

By profession, LaTanya serves as an Emergency Preparedness Analyst, but her true passion lies in inspiring others to embrace their worth and walk boldly in their purpose.

A young breast cancer survivor, LaTanya is nationally recognized for her advocacy and commitment to women’s health. She served as Co-Chair of the 2012 Komen Austin Race for the Cure, was featured by Austin Monthly magazine as one of “Austin’s Women We Love,” and received the Excellence in Advocacy Award from the Komen Austin Affiliate in 2015. Her journey continues to highlight the importance of self-advocacy and hope.

LaTanya is also a proud and devoted member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, where she currently serves as the 10th West Texas State Director. In this role, she provides leadership and guidance to more than 1,300 members across 28 chapters, fostering growth, collaboration, and “Intentional Sisterhood.”
Additionally, she also serves as the International Liaison to the American Cancer Society and Making Strides Programming, championing the Sorority's efforts to fundraise and educate the public about breast cancer. Her service through Zeta reflects her lifelong commitment to empowerment, community, and excellence.

 A proud native Texan, LaTanya enjoys traveling, reading, engaging in meaningful conversation, and public speaking. With over 20 years of experience in public engagement and facilitation, she holds two Master of Science degrees, one in Criminal Justice and the other in Organizational Leadership and Ethics, and continues to champion causes centered on advocacy, empowerment, and intentional living.
